Illustrator Needed
The Old Shanghai Game is entering the final stages before release. Play testing is done, and most of the art is finished. For the final production, we need a few new images for some key cards. Can you help us get the game perfect? Visit this page to get an idea of the current deck and game theme. Our art comes from historic clipper cards from the 1850’s, and would like artwork that captures that feel and look.
This is a Boss Card
We need 3 or 4 Boss cards. Currently, we have one Boss card, but we would like to expand the card to 5 unique personalities: Shanghai Kelly, Miss Piggot, Larry Marr, Frenchy Franklin and The Shanghai Chicken. I have a collection of historic mug shots that might be useful for faces. These cards should match the original Boss card in style, but have their own personality, character and menace. We would also be open to a redesign of the Boss card to match the “Clipper Card” art that we use for the rest of the deck.
The Shanghai Card
The historic illustration we are using is accurate, but not the right look or feel. We would like a depiction of a Shanghai in action (like above), or an image that gets the Shanghai idea across, but using the 1800’s illustration style of the rest of the deck.
