How the Deal Gets Done
A shanghai'd sailor still needed to get out to his ship. These cards help seal the deal. One Boss or a Pair of Rowers takes a player out of the game.

This is the Boss
They ran the bars and boarding houses that lined the shore of the Barbary Coast. Shanghai Kelly was the most notorious, but he had plenty of competition. Larry Marr was famous for drugging his clients from the Big Five Gallon Jar. They were brutal and merciless, and the City needed their services. Play this card all by itself to send another player off to Old Shanghai. It goes back in the deck - there's always a boss!

Battery Street Dragons
Hooligans is another word for them - a word invented right in San Francisco! The tide ran to Battery Street back in the day, made it easy to get your cargo on the water fast! Play the Rowing Gang Cards in a pair, after a player draws the Shanghai Card. If you put them out of the game, you can take two of their cards. Just keep an eye out for the Harbor Patrol!

The South Enders
Bare Knuckle boxers and Whitehall Boat rowers made this gang tough on land and sea. Play the Rowing Gang Cards in a pair, after a player draws the Shanghai Card. If you put them out of the game, you can take two of their cards. Just keep an eye out for the Harbor Patrol!

The Sydney CoveHornets
